A downloadable project

Manually animated in Aseprite.
For the prompt "So Many Colours, So Many Shapes, So Many Flavours." beyond the obvious colour motif  I tried to incorporate a variety of different shapes that had various meanings.

For the purple it was a sort of  backtracking and messy exploration, which in turn represents degree of uniqueness and that everyone's journey may take a different shape. I used a custom brush for the screen tone look (as I also did for blue).

For blue the bouncing animation  is representative of the creative thought process, with the beginning being slower with less "hits"/ideas before it is refined and ideated upon with the  it buildings steam before culminating in the final product.

For green as might be obvious I made it plant/vinelike which is linking again to growth but also to literally different flavours in edible plants.

Yellow is honeycomb and similar to green represents flavours in a more literal way but also that the shape of the honeycomb is very important. Circles while being able to have a lot of storage would leave holes in the honeycomb and not be stackable. Triangles and squares would be stackable/leave no gaps but hexagons use the least amount of material for the most weight.

For orange the spiral represents how a flawed shape is still an aesthetic and functional. On top of this it would have been easier to just use a spiral tool for this area and it would have been "perfect" but a lot of the character, personality and shape would be lost by doing so.

Finally Red using diagonal upside hearts in both pink and neative space. These hearts build together to form a chain which in turn with enough chains builds a wall. This one is a bit more heavy handed in that the heart is a shape and also a symbol of a heart chaining someone down and these feelings overlapping and becoming insurmountable.

After all this there is an animation of the prompt circling around and through the sections. Again it would have been easier to use the machine animation but it would have lost the jittery movement reminiscent of stop motion.

Inspired partially by a project completed in Professional Orientation.
